It’s official, Destiny’s Child will be finally reuniting this year, since their split in 2005. Beyonce’s father and former manager, Matthew Knowles made the announcement during an interview with the Huffington Post. As we all already know, as per contractual agreement the group owes Sony Records two albums. Late last week Rita Ora performed at an event for Cartier in New York, an event which was also attended by her mentor Beyonce. Don’t ask me where this mentor thing came from, but I think it’s something she mention in the past. The new Roc Nation artist took on the task of performing a cover of Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” single, which wasn’t bad at all. Considering she is constantly being compare to Roc Nation’s First Lady Rihanna, it appears she might be taking another approach. Remember when Rihanna start it was rumored she was getting in between Jay-Z and Beyonce and that her Bey never really got along. Now here comes Rita who is BFF with Bey and see Bey as her mentor, I’m just saying. I think the girl is talented but for some reason I just have’nt connected with her as yet. Maybe it’s because I can’t get pass her image, which screams Rihanna, and my stan card isn’t big enough for two Rihannas. Anyways checkout the video below..
The groups name is From Above. This group was put together by non other than Matthew Knowles. Matthew debut a TV show like Americas “Making The Band” but a little different. The show debut in almost every other country besides America on MTV’s sister stations. The group has debut their first single Not The Same Girl. I must say Matthew sure has a eye for talent. Listen and tell us what you think. Their debut album will be in store on December 11 in the UK no word on when the group plan on making their way to the US. PS It is said that one of the girl sounds exactly like Kelly Rowland.
When asked if she’d be down to participate in a Destiny’s Child reunion, Letoya simply replied, “Sure, I’d definitely do it.”
While talking to Phaedra she releaved that one of the band member’s told her
