The 2010 MTV VMAs are exactly ONE month away, and we can reveal that two more performers have been added to the lineup. Kanye West and Drake will perform live, joining Florence + the Machine on the VMA bill of performers. Kanye West, who made the news of his performance official via Twitter, of course. He thanked MTV for what he referred to as “2nd I mean 3rd ok 4th chance!!!” he’ll be taking the stage on Sunday, September 12, for what will be a can’t-miss-OMG-did-you-SEE-that performance.
Also joining the list of 2010 MTV VMA performers is Drake, who’ll be bringing his velvet voice and cranked-to-11 swagger to the VMA stage for an unbeatable live performance.

Today I went on a quest to find a new and different type of artist. As usually I went to youtube to discover the next feature for this site. After a 10 hour long search I found Alex Goot. He is just want I have been looking for a rock, pop sound that will bring some diversity to this site .
Hi. My name is Alex Goot… I live in upstate New York + I make music. I like to think I live simply – I enjoy vanilla ice cream, plain T-shirts, cheeseburgers with nothing on them but cheese, and Seinfeld. If you message or comment me, I will try my best to write you back! I love to chat + hear stories.
Here is some Q&A i found on his myspace page about him check it out.
What influenced you to start to write songs? The love of music. And Phil Collins…. when I was really little.
Where do you see yourself with your music in 5 years? I hate setting goals with my music – I enjoy it far too much to do so. I don’t want anything to become systematic, logical, or goal-oriented. In 5 years, I hope to be doing what I’m doing now – writing/recording songs, making enough money on iTunes to live and continue writing. A house on MTV’s “Cribs” might not be so bad either, though….
When did you first learn to play the piano? Back when I was about 5 or 6, my family bought an old refurbished upright piano. I was known to jam out on it from time to time…. didn’t get serious about it til more like middle school when I was 12 or 13 years old.
What’s your favorite things about playing shows? When people sing along. It’s an unbelievably awesome feeling. It feels great to know that someone actually enjoyed my work so much that they memorized the words, came out to my show, and sang along.
If you weren’t writing songs and playing instruments, what do you think you’d be doing? I have no idea! This is seriously an impossible question. I can’t see myself doing anything besides what I’m doing now. I consider myself extremely lucky to have a shot at making a living with my music.
What bands or artist influenced you when you were younger? Anything classic rock. Other than that… perhaps “mom” type music. Like I said before… Phil Collins.
Where does the inspiration for your songs come from? Anything and everything that I do inspires me in some way. I find that descriptions of common daily events often come out as lyrical ideas when I’m sitting down writing a new song.
Erykah Badu is back with a follow up video to her very controversial “Window Seat video which she strip naked in the street in front of thousands of on lookers. The iconic video was talked about everywhere, even city official’s got involved. Read a quote from Rick Ross below on his opinion of Ms Badu. Watch the video below and tell us what you think in the comment area.
“She most definitely is a super talented individual,” Ross told MTV News of his collaborator. “She’s the definition of a strong woman. I’m proud for her to be a strong black woman, just to see her so hands-on with her career.”
For a girl who wrote a song about the disillusionment of real-life love not panning out the way it does on the big screen (“Not Like The Movies”), Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” video is a picture-perfect look at young love. Or at least young lust. Or at least the way it should look in teen movies.
In her “Teenage Dream” video, Katy Perry goes cruising with the top down, takes her top off to get busy in a black bra in what looks like a pay-by-the-hour motel room with actor Josh Kloss (remember him from “The O.C.”?), and has the sexiest pool party since Fiona Apple’s “Criminal” video. (Or Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston’s “Eenie Meenie,” depending on your perspective). “Teenage Dream” was filmed in Katy Perry’s home town of Santa Barbara.
Watch this sneak peek of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” video, directed by Yoann Lemoine. And watch the full-length video when it premieres on MTV on Tuesday, August 10.
