Waka Flocka Flame links up with Flo Rida and YMCMB artists Nicki Minaj and Tyga for his new single “Get Low” . The single is from his upcoming second studio album, ‘Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family’, currently set to be released in the United States on June 12, 2012.
This track would have been such a hot track if Waka didn’t keep saying “pow pow pow” throughout the song. However I do commend him for taking a chance and giving us something more pop radio friendly. As usually Nicki sure didn’t disappoint, if there is one thing she is really good at, its features. So…How are you feeling the song?
Nicki Minaj called into Funkmaster Flex‘s show on Hot 97 to discuss her fall out with the station which lead to her eventually being pulled from the Hot 97 Summer Jam by Lil Wayne.
Young Money’s First Lady explained what led to the decision, her reaction to Peter Rosenberg’s diss, and the lesson she learned from Lil Wayne, who made the executive decision to yank YMCMB from the lineup. She also fired back at Flex for belittling her album sales, reciting exact figures.
“When you disrespect Nicki Minaj, you’re disrespecting my fans,” said Nicki, who plans to make it up to her Barbz by playing a free show in New York City.
Listen to the full one hour long, heated conversation below.
In a last minute decision, Lil Wayne pulled Nicki Minaj and his entire YMCMB crew out of last night’s Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. The decision to pull the event’s headliner Nicki Minaj amongst others, came following a diss from Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg during the concert. Rosenberg took to the stage and called Nicki‘s track ‘Starships’ whack, even though she was billed as the events headliner.
Shortly after, the president of Young Money Entertainment tweeted:
Nicki Minaj then confirmed the decision by tweeting:
Wow. U niggaz just f*cked up history. But the President has spoken.#YMCMB
I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes.
Nicki Minaj fans where left very disappointed last night and rightfully so. Although the DJ was unprofessional and very disrespectful I think Nicki owed it to her fans to come on stage. But when the President speaks I guess you just have to go with it. So what do you think? Who was wrong here and will this have an impact on her career?
