Eminem & Yelawolf On The Year Ends Cover of Vibe

Vibe is going with a double cover with Eminem & Yelawolf on one cover and TI on another. From the first cover Vibe proved some of the interview with both Eminem & Yelawolf which you can read below via Vibe.com

Eminem and Yelawolf on poking fun at their race:

Eminem, what advice do you offer, if any, on being scrutinized for being a white rapper. Do you guys ever talk about race in that way?
Eminem: We make jokes about it, but I don’t think we talk about it in depth. As I was listening to his music, I am not even thinking about any of that S**t. It’s just the music. That’s one of the things that’s great about it. I’m not even thinking about it when I hear the music.
Yelawolf: We do poke fun of it because it’s funny. Like, he calls me White Dog.

Oh, you called him that on the BET Awards Cypher. I didn’t realize it was an ongoing joke?
EM: Yeah, or Beige Sheep. [Laughs]
YW: Cracker Nuts. Whatever, I think it’s kinda unspoken.
EM: We deal with it enough as it is. So now, let’s make music.
YW: Let’s make great records. At the end of the day, that’s all there is to do.

Yelawolf’s thoughts on White Rappers using the N-Word:

When Yelawolf heard the presumptu- ous white female rapper V-Nasty was peppering her sarcastic raps with the N- word, he called it embarrassing, telling VladTV that an N-bomb-dropping white rapper might find themselves “slapped up, and it might be by a white boy.” While he admits to using the word as a child, he says the word term is off limits for any white person, rapper or otherwise.

“[In Alabama] we have a dark his- tory concerning the relationship be- tween Black and white people. I’m not a role model by any means, but if I said it around the house I got popped in the mouth,” he says, noting that his Black friends used the word as a term of endearment for him as well.

Eminem and Yelawolf talk about their past history with drugs:

You mentioned getting yourself right. Are you completely clean these days as far as alcohol and drugs?
EM: Except for the heroin I shot up this morning. Except for that, I’m clean. [Laughs]

While you’re clean, Yelawolf here smokes weed and—
Yelawolf: No, I don’t.

I hear that in your music a lot.
YW: I started smoking weed at 11. By 12, I was smoking dust. Thirteen, acid, Freon, special k, mushrooms; 16 years old, I was selling X pills at school. Not even because I was a good dope boy, but because I was a scumbag. It was called chocolate chip, and it had heroin in it. I used to take that S**t and go to class. I went so heavy into drugs that I had a bad trip one time that lasted for months

Kelly, Michelle & Beyonce At Her Album Release Party

The old crew came out for Kelly’s album release party. Read more details from Idolator….

When Kelly Rowland tweeted that she had “surprises planned” for her Here I Am release party, we had no idea she meant a Destiny’s Child reunion — sort of. Last night at New York’s Standard Hotel, the VIBE cover girl was joined by Michelle Williams and Beyonce, as her former groupmates showed the “Lay It On Me” singer their support for Ms. Kelly’s new LP. Does this mean we can expect a world tour or new music from these pop divas any time soon? Doubtful, but the fact that they arrived in matching black outfits simply can’t be a coincidence!

Kelly Get's Juicy For Vibe Juice Issue

Kelly Rowland covers the Vibe Juice issue for Aug/Sept . You can read a clip of the interview below and check out the full interview with it hits stands on August 16th.

VIBE: The last album didn’t do well in the States. It did better overseas, particularly in Europe. Do you feel more appreciated in Europe?
Kelly Rowland: No, not really. People still compare me to B over there. I said in an interview recently, ‘You know, if you guys would be a little bit more intelligent and ask me about myself we’ll have a much better interview.’ You can’t want a story from me and keep asking me about the past.

→ ON HER COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH MATTHEW KNOWLES

When you walked away from that last meeting with Mathew, did you feel an “exhale” moment?
I did, but I also felt like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done?!’ I stayed in the house for two days. I was sad. It was like a funeral. I had to deaden that situation in order to start fresh. That’s a very long time to have the same manager and the same label.

What about your personal relationship with Mathew Knowles. Do you still talk to him?
Mathew sent me flowers for my birthday!

But do you talk to him?
It’s… I respect him above anything.

→ ON HER SEDUCTIVE SIDE & VISITING SEX SHOPS

Speaking of this road we’re going on… Let’s talk about the song “Motivation.” I have to admit, the song went completely over my head. I thought you were talking about working out.
[Laughs] No, honey.

When you heard the song, did you think, This may be too racy for my image?
Not at all. Every woman knows what that feels like—hopefully. But everyone doesn’t expect Kelly to sing about it. This is true. But I just loved the song so much. And yes, I can relate to it. I came into my sexuality while I was recording this album. I can walk into a sex shop now and not worry about what people would say if they saw me in there.

You really do that? Go to sex shops?
Yeah! With friends on the low. I go at the right time. Nighttime. 1 a.m. The really good ones are open that late.

Dabrat Is Such A "P.Y.T" In Her Vibe Summer Photoshoot

Ms BtotheRhaAT is back and in a sexy way. She had a summer photoshoot with Vibe where she talked about her feeling towards her new mix-tape, how she stays in shape and more. Check out the full interview below as well as the photoshoot below.

Va va voom! Da Brat makes a comeback by unveiling the sexy feminine side we haven’t quite seen before in VIBE’s latest installment of the summer series. No, she’s not overexposed in a cut-out swimsuit or vintage bikini. Instead, she’s donning casual chic summer wear that’s appropriate for all types of summer fun. In maxi dresses, khaki shorts and an oversized cream-colored blouse, Da Brat rocks a head full of bodaciously brown curls and really exudes a soft, yet sultry demeanor.  Appropriate? Most definitely.

What do you have to say about your new mixtape?

It’s DUMB STUPID CRAZY! It’s HOTTER THAN A MOTHER f****r! BRAT IS BACK!

What are you doing to stay in shape?

Work out. Working out is like a stress reliever.

What type of message do you want to portray to women about their bodies.

Be who you are!

What is your favorite body part?

I don’t have just one. I love all parts of my body! But on a man, I love the Adonis line. It’s just so sexy!

What type of clothes do you wear to make you look sexy?

It depends on the look and how I’m feeling that day.

Was it uncomfortable transitioning into a “sex symbol” or is this just another side of you that we never see?

I’m such a f*****g lady. I loved to get glammed up. I love manis and pedis. I like to go to Vicky Secrets and La Perla because I like lace and bikinis. I’m such a P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thug)

How did you feel about the Vibe.com photo shoot?

I absolutely loved it! The stylist Tamara Connor was amazing. Mara Z styled my hair with the help of her assistant Dina as well as my regular hairstylist, Shontelle Sampeur. Mara also did my makeup. Both hair and make-up were great. And I loved the photographer, Alex. I definitely want to do more photo shoots with him because I can tell he is passionate about his work.

AMBER ON BEING ICONIC:
“Kanye would always tell be how beautiful I was and that I was going to be iconic. He always said that, ‘Baby, you are iconic. You don’t understand what you have. I didn’t. I didn’t understand it.”
